Yeah another “TAKE THE CHIX OUT BABES!” meal. But completely different than what I’ve made until now. My constant search for chicken recipes never ends. Though very often I threaten Cookies with his all time favourite meal GRILLED CHIX 😛 buaaahahaha you need to see his face when I tell him I make it tonite/tomorrow/ever is priceless. Damn I like to torment him like that… and he is so easy, still after 7 years of marriage he walks into that trap 0_o.
This meal is representative for persian style cooking. It contains a lot of natural sweetness. But if you think it is dull and bland, you are mistaken. It’s delicately sweet and surprisingly rich in aromas. The only catch is you need to dirty 2 pans.
Chix Fillet with Walnuts and Honey

Ingredients:
- chix breast - 2
- walnuts - 1/2 cup
- raisins - handful
- honey - 2 tbsp
- butter - 2 tbsp
- oil - 2 tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - to taste
- cayenne pepper - to taste
Instructions:
Cut chicken into bite size cubes, sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper, heat oil on the pan and fry until nicely golden brown. While it’s frying, on the second pan dry roast walnuts. When they are slightly browned add honey and mix good until walnuts are nicely coated and honey starts melting - then add butter and raisins. Lower the heat and keep stirring until butter is melted and sauce is glassy. Toss in chicken, sprinkle with cinnamon and stir good until all ingredients are mixed in and heat for a minute or two. Serve with couscous or rice and single veggie salad of your choice.
Until next time, take care of yourself and each other 0_o
P.S. Cookies thoughts: I was honestly surprised with this one, very good.. and yes lets bring back the ratings scale for this meal, out of 10, it was a 9. A solid, 9. Magda Cooks.. it just right!
